Membership
Buffalo Lab is meant to be a very inclusive organization. As such, membership in the organization has a very low barrier to entry. And by low, we mean FREE! Yes, it always has and always will be free to become a Member of Buffalo Lab.
As a Member you are given the following benefits:
To become a member of Buffalo Lab, you just need to visit our space at 701 Seneca and declare your desire (to become a member)! Make sure to talk to Ben or Matt though, since they are the people who can set you up with an LDAP login.
Donations
Buffalo Lab is a New York State Not-for-Profit organization. As such, we rely solely on the donations of our members to continue operating. We encourage all members to donate their knowledge, skills, time and money to make Buffalo Lab a successful community organization. If you are working on a project and have an hour to show it to everyone else, schedule a demonstration. Want to help others learn a new skill from or with you? Organize a mentorship program. Have extra cash you have nothing better to spend on? Donate it to Buffalo Lab and help us to continue to provide the space and resources to make the other things possible!
We currently can only accept donations in the form of cash or checks. Electronic methods will be available again soon. Cash will only be accepted in person, checks can be mailed in or delivered in person.
All checks should be made out to ‘Buffalo Lab’.
Our mailing address is:

Lab User
Just being a Member of Buffalo Lab is pretty awesome in of itself, but there is still more available! Some of our members just have more free time than others and want to spend it at Buffalo Lab. To accommodate such individuals we have, since our inception, monthly dues that allow full access to the space at 701 Seneca. Your monthly Lab fee will go towards rent, electricity, supplies, and other expenses. In return you receive all the benefits of a member (listed above) as well as:
The Lab User fee is currently set at $20/month and can be paid at any time during the month. Payments can be made with cash or check. Cash will only be accepted in person, checks can be mailed in or delivered in person. Any questions about becoming a Lab User can be directed to Ben or Matt or can be emailed to info@buffalo.hackerspaces.us.
